Kevin Kam

RPh, CDCES

Kevin is a graduate of the University of Colorado, Skaggs School of Pharmacy (1995). Upon returning to Hawaii, he received his Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) Certificate in 1998 and began a diabetes education program at City Pharmacy, an independent community pharmacy in Honolulu. He is a past Board Member of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation-Hawaii Affiliate, Past-President of the Hawaii Association of Diabetes Education and volunteers with the American Diabetes Association. Kevin has been recognized for his work in diabetes as the recipient of the Innovative Pharmacy Practice and Pharmacist of the Year Awards presented by the Hawaii Pharmacist Association. In addition, he is a past recipient of the Diabetes Educator of the Year Award presented by the Hawaii Association of Diabetes Educators. Currently, Kevin is the Founder and Director of inControl Diabetes Learning and Resource Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. inControl’s Diabetes Self-Management Education program is accredited by the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE). This program provides diabetes education to approximately 700 Hawaii residents annually.

Stacy Sasaki-Tolentino, PharmD, CDCES
Stacy received her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Washington State University in 2011. She has been working with people with diabetes for six years and became a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) in 2014. Stacy’s professional goal is to help those affected by diabetes to understand the disease process with better clarity so that they may be empowered to take control of their own diabetes or be a part of a support system for someone who does.
Hiromi Saito, PharmD, CDCES
Hiromi is a graduate of Showa University in Tokyo, Japan (1992) and was licensed as a pharmacist in Hawaii in 2010. She has worked in a variety of pharmacy settings in both Japan and Hawaii. Hiromi received her Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) certificate in 2014 and has been an instructor at inControl Diabetes Learning and Resource Center since that time. Hiromi is fluent in Japanese and teaches classes for both English and Japanese speaking participants.
Hiromi’s professional goal is to partner with people with diabetes to help them find the right tools that they need to manage their diabetes and reach their health goals.

Kourtney Inouye, RD, CDCES
Kourtney is a registered dietitian nutritionist who enjoys working with people of all ages and sizes. She obtained her Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Hawaii in Food Science and Human Nutrition. Shortly after, Kourtney left Hawaii to pursue a dietetic internship and Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition from Rush University in Chicago, IL.  She has a passion to tackle the management of diabetes. In her free time, Kourtney likes to shop and continues to learn and share stories with her patients.
Cyndi Leong, MS, RD
Cyndi graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and continued on with her Dietetic Internship from Marshall University, in Huntington West Virginia. Recently she also completed her Masters Degree from Marshall University, Huntington West Virginia. Her work experience includes 17 years of working in several different hospitals and long term care facilities in Oahu. She also has experience with outpatient counseling for the past 10 years. She is currently an instructor at Kapiolani Community College teaching FSHE 185 in the Culinary Department. Cyndi's professional goals included educating the community on eating well for a long and healthy life.



Georgiana Kam, RPh
Georgiana began her professional career as a Registered Pharmacist at Chock Pang Clinic on Nuuanu Avenue.  Years later, she became the owner and head pharmacist of City Pharmacy in Honolulu, Hawaii.  She is currently retired from practicing pharmacy and has transitioned onto the office manager at inControl Diabetes Center.  Georgiana is the friendly voice you will speak with regarding your appointments.  She will often be the person who greets you when you attend a class at our Beretania St. office.  Additionally, Georgiana manages the referrals and billing at inControl.
